Yorkton Terriers get financial boost

The money was proceeds from the Yorkton Terriers Celebrity Sports Dinner held earlier this year.

YORKTON - The Yorkton Terriers received a $60,000 donation Friday.

The money was proceeds from the Yorkton Terriers Celebrity Sports Dinner held earlier this year. The successful dinner featured Wendel Clark.

Clark, who grew up in Kelvington and played two years of Bantam hockey in the city is a former NHL hockey player who scored 330 regular season goals over his 15-year career.

Curtis Malysh, president of the Terrier hockey club said the money is important to the club, helping pay team costs such as hotels and bus travel throughout the SJHL season
