Alleged drug dealer headed to trial in Saskatoon court

SASKATOON – A trial for an alleged drug trafficker arrested in a high-risk traffic stop has been set in Saskatoon Provincial Court. Dakota Junior Aubichon appears in court Tuesday ahead of his trial that is scheduled for Oct. 30 and 31. 

Dakota Junior Aubichon, 27, is charged with four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property over $5,000 obtained by crime, and several weapons-related offences.

Aubichon was arrested by the Saskatoon Police Crime Reduction Team and Tactical Support Unit stop in the 200 block of Fairmont Drive in October 2022. Police seized methamphetamine, cocaine, and cash.

Officers then got a search warrant for a home in the 1900 block of 22nd Street West and seized ammunition, additional methamphetamine and cocaine, and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking.

In total, police seized 461.7 grams of methamphetamine, 31.1 grams of cocaine, 174.1 grams of cocaine/meth mixture, $7,690 in cash, 40 packages of cannabis extracts, shotgun ammunition, as well as cell phones, and digital scales.
