WYNYARD – A 57-year-old Lloydminster man will stand trial in the death of 51-year-old Sharon Littlewolfe.  A trial date will be set in Yorkton Court of King’s Bench.

Brian McLeod was arrested in December 2022 after a series of assaults at three different homes. Wadena RCMP found an injured woman and baby at a home in Margo. As police investigated, they found Littlewolfe deceased at an adjacent home.

McLeod is charged with second-degree murder in Littlewolfe's death. RCMP say McLeod then stole a vehicle from a nearby home and assaulted a man at a rural residence. McLeod had gone to the rural home and asked for help with his vehicle that was stuck. The man received serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was able to restrain McLeod until police arrived and arrested him.

The woman and baby were taken to hospital. The woman had serious injuries, whereas the infant had non-life-threatening injuries.

McLeod was additionally charged with attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault, and possession of property obtained by crime.
