Sask. man charged with sexually assaulting pre-teen boys seeks bail

RCMP allege the sexual assaults occurred at a Sask. home-based daycare in the mid 2010s

MOOSE JAW – A 46-year-old Assiniboia man who allegedly sexually assaulted three pre-teen boys at a home-based daycare in the mid 2010s is seeking bail.

He was arrested Nov. 28 for the historic sexual assaults and is back in Moose Jaw Provincial Court Jan. 16, 2024, for a bail hearing.

In November 2023, Coronach RCMP had received a report of a historic sexual assault.

On Nov. 27, Saskatchewan RCMP’s General Investigation Section (GIS), with help from the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE), Coronach RCMP, and Assiniboia RCMP, executed a search warrant at his home in Assiniboia. He was arrested without incident.

He is charged with three counts of sexual assault, two counts of invitation to sexual touching, three counts of making sexually explicit material available to a person under 16, voyeurism, and possession of child pornography.

Saskatchewan RCMP say they are working to determine if there are additional victims.
