Saskatoon police charge man in violent robbery

A 34-year-old man was stabbed and robbed Tuesday morning.

SASKATOON – Update: Police arrested a 27-year-old Saskatoon man and charged him with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon, and failure to comply with court-imposed conditions.

Original story: Saskatoon police are searching for a suspect involved in a stabbing Tuesday morning.

Saskatoon Police Service say that about 1:15 a.m. on March 21 they were called to the 500 block of 3rd Avenue North for the report of an assault. When officers arrived, they found a 34-year-old man suffering from injuries, and confirmed he had been stabbed. His wallet had also been stolen by an unknown male suspect. The victim was taken to hospital for medical treatment in stable condition.
