Update: Saskatoon teen shot in seeming random incident

Police say they got a call at about 2:30 a.m. and when officers arrived, they found the teen suffering from a non-life-threatening injury.

Police say a 17-year-old male was shot at a home in the 100 block of Avenue I North on Sept. 23.

SASKATOON – Update: Saskatoon police say the suspects involved in this incident are believed to be in their 20's, between 5-foot-11 and 6-feet tall. One suspect was wearing a grey zip hoodie, grey pants and black shoes.  Police say no further description details are available.

Original story: The Saskatoon Police Service Serious Assault Unit is investigating after a 17-year-old male was shot at a home in the 100 block of Avenue I North on Sept. 23.

SPS say they got a call at about 2:30 a.m. and when officers arrived, they found the teen suffering from a non-life-threatening injury. He told police that he and two friends were walking on Bedford Road between Avenues H and I when they were approached by two unknown males who spoke to them and then began shooting. The suspects then fled the scene.

No one else was injured during the incident.
