Trial for QAnon's Ricky Manz set in Leader court

Ricky Manz owns the abandoned school in Richmound where QAnon self-proclaimed leader Romana Didulo and her supporters have camped out.

SWIFT CURRENT – A trial for QAnon supporter 59-year-old Ricky Manz has been set for November in Leader Circuit Court.

Manz was arrested on Oct. 11, 2023, after Leader RCMP received a report on Oct. 7, 2023, of an assault in Richmound. Manz was charged with assault.

Manz owns the abandoned school in Richmound where QAnon self-proclaimed leader Romana Didulo and her supporters have camped out. Richmound, which is about about 445 kilometres west of Regina, has 147 residents.

The village held several protests trying to force the group out of their community. Saskatchewan RCMP brought in a temporary mobile RCMP detachment that was staffed 24/7.

In November, Manz was additionally charged with failing to appear in court. He was arrested by Leader RCMP and released ahead of his Jan. 18 appearance in Leader Circuit Court.

Didulo and her supporters have allegedly threatened to publicly execute the council at the Village of Richmound, their fire chief and staff, the village administrator and staff, an RCMP officer, EMS, and several journalists.

The threats that were posted to Telegram in October 2023, and shared on Twitter, said that failure to “cease and desist,” could result in them being found guilty of treason and facing “publicly broadcast executions.” Didulo and her supporters claimed they are being stalked and bullied by village residents.
