WATCH: Saskatoon police release video of homicide suspect

SASKATOON – Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) Major Crime Section released an image and video footage of a suspect in the shooting death of a 33-year-old man on Dec. 14, 2023.

The male suspect in the video is wearing a dark jacket, light-coloured pants, and dark shoes.

He is seen walking southbound on Whitney Avenue towards 21st Street. SPS investigators believe the suspect went into a home in the area at about 1:30 a.m. on Dec. 14, 2023.

Police had responded to a call about an injured person in the back alley of the 2700 block of 21 Street West. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The Major Crime and Forensic Identification Sections, along with the Guns & Gangs Unit, are continuing to investigate.
