KINDERSLEY – A 40-year-old woman accused of stealing more than $100,000 from a Kerrobert business and a local minor sports association appeared in Kindersley Circuit Court Dec. 19. She is due back in court Jan. 24, 2024.

Lyndsay Charlotte Neumeier was originally charged with fraudulent use of a credit card and fraudulent use of a debit card. Those charges were withdrawn and replaced with theft over $5,000, and a charge of by deceit, falsehood or fraudulent means, defrauds the public or any person of property, money or valuables.

The charges are a result of a fraud and theft investigation by Kindersley RCMP they began in January. Police had received a report that a fraud occurred at a business in Kerrobert and the investigation revealed that the fraud exceeded $100,000. The investigation revealed that another theft had occurred from the local minor sports association.

Kindersley RCMP charged her on Oct. 30 for both investigations.

Kindersley RCMP Staff Sergeant Kevin Peterson said this was a very complex file that required extensive work by members of the Kindersley Detachment.

“We are very aware of the community of Kerrobert’s concerns and want to assure our residents that we are committed to investigating these frauds fully,” he said in a statement to media. “We realize there may be further victims in the community and encourage anyone else that may have been a victim of these crimes to contact the Kindersley RCMP.”
