About Us:

The first issue of the Kamsack Times appeared on June 12, 1908. The founder, publisher and editor was W.J. Scott, a former member of the Northwest Mounted Police (1876 to 1879.)
The Times was sold in 1912 to a group of local residents operating under the name Kamsack Publishing Ltd. Roderick Way served as editor under the new ownership until early 1913, when he was succeeded by H.S. McKee, who had been on the staff of the Canora Advertiser (now the Canora Courier). Until early 1976 the Times was printed on a sheet-fed press and then later that year the printing process was converted to a web press system. Prior to 2006 the paper was owned for many years by Ken Sopkow, who sold it to Forefront Enterprises in 2006. Forefront Enterprises owned it for two years and then in 2008 sold the Kamsack Times to Glacier Media, the current owners.
