Rita Jardine January 1, 1937 - March 21, 2011 Rita Corinne Jardine passed away on Monday, March 21, 2011 at the age of 74 years. Rita is survived by her spouse, Danny Shaw; children: Bev (Al) Dyck, Donna (John) Woodman, and Roxanne (Dacan) Wheeler; sister: Delories (Jim) Chabon; grandchildren: Nick Bachynski, Paul Bachynski, Kevin Friess, Raymond Friess, Lisa Friess, Jeanine Woodman, Dalan Wheeler, Paige Wheeler, Brooklyn Wheeler, Taylor Wheeler, Araya Wheeler, Lisa (Trevor) Fitzpatrick, Michael Shaw, Tammy Shaw, Daniel Shaw, Theresa (Jared) Dumaine, Shannon (Corey) Kardash; great grandchildren: Rian Patterson Bachynski, Shad Bachynski, Larissa Friess, Nikkita Friess; brothers-in law: Larry (Donna) Jardine, Lavern Jardine, Larry (Lorna) Shaw, Michael (Rosalie) Shaw; sisters-in-law: Darlene Jardine, Carolyn Madro, Marilyn (Ernest) Dupuis, Debbie (Mike) Paiement, Linda Wilson, Barbara (Brian) Wagner, Rosie Rhuebottom; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Rita is predeceased by her parents: Martin and Iris Johner; husband: Lorne Jardine; parents-in-law: Lorne Jardine Sr. and Anne Jardine; brother: Donald Johner; grandson: Brent Friess; son-in-law: Paul Bachynski; sisters-in-law: Rhonda Vollins, Deanna Wiggett; brothers-in-law: Raymond Jardine, Ted Madro; and nephew Randy Madro. A visitation was held on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. A private funeral service was held from the Chapel of Hall Funeral Services, Estevan, with interment to follow at a later date, in the Bienfait Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Estevan Regional Nursing Home, c/o Sun Country Health Region at St. Joseph's Hospital, 1174 Nicholson Road, Estevan, SK S4A 2V6. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. Thank you The family of Rita (Carrie) Jardine would like to thank Dr. Grobler, Dr. Kopriva, staff at St. Joseph's Hospital, the staff at Estevan Regional Nursing Home, the Home Care Staff, and the X-ray department for the compassionate care. To all of our friends and family who sent cards, e-mails, texts, prayers, well wishes, food, flowers, visits and donations, we thank you. Dustin, Shawna and Shirley at Hall Funeral Services for their warm and caring help during this difficult time. Father Peter and Sister Adelaide for performing the service as well as the blessings and extra prayers you offered to Mom. All of your expressions of sympathy were heartwarming and will forever remain with us. - Danny Shaw, Roxanne Wheeler, Donna Woodman, and Bev Dyck. * * * As Carrie's daughter I would like to take this time to thank Aunty Marilyn for all those countless times you came over to help Mom, whether it was getting a meal ready, feeding the dog or just being on call if I couldn't get a hold of Mom, I will forever be grateful. Aunty Carolyn, thank you for making Mom beautiful with all of those do's you did for her. Aunty Delories & Uncle Jim for all the times you let Mom and Danny stay for the hospital trips when they needed a roof over their heads. Sister Adelaide for all the times you sent love and prayers our way, you are so much a part of the family. Donna Kitchen, a great friend, for the endless phone calls during Mom's transition into home care as well as all your understanding and help with her transfer into the nursing home, times like this mean the most and I thank you for being there. Dacan, my super husband, for all your understanding and support over the last couple of years during Mom's battle, thank you and I love you. My kids, Dalan, Paige, Brooklyn, Taylor and Araya for all the times when you thought your Mom was going to lose it, you understood or at least pretended that you did, and especially the group visits to Grandma Ritz, I know she loved them as well as looked forward to which kid was going to come around the corner next, and those are the moments we will hold forever in our hearts. Mom and Dad (Virginia and Clayton) and my sister Treena for all your love, support, understanding and meals, I know I wouldn't have made it by without all of you. Treena, my best friend, your shoulder has been my strength through all of this and I don't know what I would have done without you to listen and be there for me, thank you. Thank you to our hockey teams and coaches of the Mustangs, Chargers, Cougars and Coalers for the understanding and care when the kids needed your support. Please know that all of your kindness during this hard time has meant the world to me. - Thank you, Roxanne.
