Moose Jaw Police respond to male endangering the life of a child

The four-year-old child was unharmed.

MOOSE JAW — On Aug. 15, the Moose Jaw Police Service responded to a call for service on the east end of town. A 29-year-old man was reportedly running in and out of traffic while pushing a baby stroller.

When police arrived on scene, the suspect refused to stop when ordered to and ran head-on into oncoming traffic.

The suspect was safely apprehended with help from the public near an undisclosed business in the area. On arrest, the suspect was transported to the Dr. F. H. Wigmore Regional Hospital for assessment.

The four-year-old child was unharmed.

The male has been charged with assault, unlawfully endangering the life of a child, and resisting arrest. He will appear in court at a later date to be determined.

Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
