Multiple wellbeing checks made by local RCMP

Multiple complaints that align with the Mental Health Act for Unity and Wilkie RCMP detachments.

RCMP Report – Jan. 9 - 15

Unity Reports

RCMP received a report of a railway crossing malfunction near Scott.  Reported for information purposes.

A 28-year-old female from Unity was charged with assault on police officer and uttering threats after Member received a complaint of an individual intoxicated in public.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint.  Members transported the subject of complaint to Unity Health Centre for assessment.

A 39-year-old male from Unity was charged with fail to comply with release order condition at the request of Community Corrections.

Members received a request from a concerned citizen to conduct a wellbeing check.  The complainant called Members back to cancel the request as they had been in contact with the subject of complaint.

RCMP received a complaint of uttering threats.  Insufficient evidence to proceed.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint.  Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction in Unity.  Reported for information purposes.

RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint.  Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

Police received a request from a concerned citizen to conduct a wellbeing check.  The complainant called Members back to cancel the request as they had been in contact with the subject of complaint.

Members received a complaint of an unwanted individual at a residence.  The subject of complaint was transported by Police to another residence.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint.  Members spoke to the subject of complaint.

CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction in Unity.  Reported for information purposes.

There were also eight false alarms and one false 911 call.

Wilkie Reports

RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision.  There were no injuries.  This matter is still under investigation.

CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction in a rural area near Wilkie.  Reported for information purposes.

Members received a report of a dog left outside in the cold.  The complainant called back to state the animal owner had returned and the dog was no longer outside.

Police received a report of a lost wallet.  The wallet has not been located.

RCMP received a report of an individual breaking a residence window.  Members spoke to the complainant who decline to proceed.

Police received a report of a vehicle stopping at a rural residence and dropping off a puppy and a cat in the driveway and leaving.  Members made a referral to the local animal shelter.

Members received a Mental Health Act complaint.  The subject of complaint was transported by Emergency Medical Services to Biggar Hospital for assessment.

There were also two false alarms.

Macklin Reports

RCMP conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a concerned citizen.

Police received a report of an unwanted individual at a residence.  The individual had left the area.  Reported for information purposes.

Members conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a family friend.

RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision in Macklin.  There were no injuries.  This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a complaint of theft.  This matter is still under investigation.

There was also one traffic complaint and one false alarm.
