SASKATOON —Laurie Krakalovich had an extra hard time believing her recent $100,000 lottery win. The Saskatoon local won $100,000 on the March 7 Lotto Max and Extra draw.

“I thought it must be some sort of mistake,” she laughed while explaining how she discovered her win. “I had a few tickets to check, this was the last one.”

“After I scanned it, I took it to the cashier immediately,” she continued. “She started freaking out, so I started freaking out, but I honestly, I couldn’t believe it!”

The winner said she has a couple of ideas for her windfall.

“I want to help my son with a house down payment,” she said. “And I’ll pay some bills and invest.”

When asked if winning the lottery is what she thought it would be, Krakalovich said: “No! Only because I don’t believe it – I’m just in total shock!”

Krakalovich bought her Extra-winning ticket from the Saskatoon Co-op Gas Bar located at 1628 33rd St. W. She won her prize by matching the last six digits of the March 7 Extra draw – 2782312.
