The Yorkton Terriers are winding up early bird season ticket sales with a daylong blitz Thursday.

The event will run from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Haas Nissan in the city.†They will be serving you pancakes in the morning and hamburgers and hotdogs in the afternoon and evening.

“They (Haas Nissan) have always been very good to us,” said Terrier Club president Dave Baron.

As for the day, Baron said the Terriers are looking to attract new fans.

“We need to build the season ticket base,” he said, adding that ideally the team would have a thousand season ticket holders to provide some added financial stability to the franchise, but that goal may take a year or two of rebuilding numbers to achieve.

Early bird ticket prices for adults are $290, moving up to $320 after the 18th, with youth at $275 going up to $295.

Baron said there are some added incentives too.

If you were a season ticket holder for the 2015/2016 season, you qualify for the Terriers Find-a-Fan program, he said. Recruit a new adult or senior season ticket holder and receive a $20 discount on your season ticket. Recruit a new teen or child season ticket holder and earn a $10 discount on your season ticket. (New season ticket holders are defined as those not having a season ticket during the 2015-2016 season).

Season ticket purchasers will also be entered†a one-time draw to win a 100 per cent refund on your season ticket, and a season ticket blitz draw to win a Yorkton Terriers’ jersey.
