Back to School
Battlefords RCMP are reminding drivers to take extra care in school zones as students return to class next week.
“School is back in session, and that means our youngest community members are out and about,” said Cpl. Steve Bell of the North Battleford RCMP. “We’re asking drivers to do their part to keep kids safe — slow down, pay attention and expect the unexpected.”
Police say speed limits in school zones are strictly enforced and fines are significant. Drivers are also urged to watch for safety patrollers, obey bus stop arms and avoid distracted driving. RCMP will be conducting increased patrols in and around school zones.
