MAIDSTONE — This week, our hearts are heavy as Maidstone and area say farewell to three senior community members: Alice Smith on Tuesday, Lloyd Robb on Wednesday and Katie Meynberg on Thursday. Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to all their families and friends.
Last week's recipients of “Cupcakes For Caregivers” were the fantastic nurses at Maidstone Hospital. These wonderful nurses provide compassionate care for their patients while also being ready to deliver quick-thinking care at a moment’s notice. Working together, they share incredible knowledge and problem-solving abilities, always going above and beyond. Their work ethic and camaraderie create an environment where everyone can grow, succeed and learn. From their patience to their communication skills to their adaptability, these dedicated nurses have it all. Thank you for the incredible care you provide to the community of Maidstone and the surrounding area. You are appreciated and valued each day—submission by Live With Kurt Price.
Cupcakes For Caregivers is presented by Lloydminster Sobeys, United Way Lloydminster and District and Live With Kurt Price. If you know a deserving caregiver, email your nomination to [email protected] and help celebrate the fantastic people in our communities.
Grace Community Church’s Vacation Bible School saw 26 children come through the doors last Monday to Thursday. They sang, danced, crafted, played games, ate and had a wonderful time learning about Jesus and God’s love. Eleven leaders/helpers were kept busy but thoroughly enjoyed spending time with the kids. On Thursday, families joined us for lunch and to hear what a joyous week we had.
