MELFORT — The City of Melfort is seeking public input on its 2025–26 Economic Development Action Plan.
The city said the plan will help guide its economic development priorities over the next 12 to 18 months, while also identifying focus areas for future initiatives.
In a recent social media post, the city invited residents to review the action plan and provide feedback or questions by July 25, 2025. Input can be submitted through the online form here.
The action plan aims to increase business opportunities and position Melfort as a hub for entrepreneurship.
It also emphasizes economic growth, community development, environmental stewardship, enhanced infrastructure and improved municipal services.
The proposed plan outlines a strategic framework to guide decision-making and resource allocation over the next five years.
It is built around four core goal areas: Infrastructure Modernization and Public Safety, Community Well-being and Green Spaces, Sustainable Growth and Economic Development, and Governance, Technology and Public Engagement.
All feedback must be submitted through the official online form; comments provided through other channels will not be considered. The deadline for public input is July 25.
