Goudy nominated as Sask. Party candidate for Melfort

MELFORT — Todd Goudy has been acclaimed as the Saskatchewan Party candidate for Melfort in the 2024 provincial election.

“I appreciate the support and encouragement the people have given since 2018,” Goudy said. “It’s a privilege to represent and serve your friends and neighbours.”

Goudy was first elected MLA for Melfort in a 2018 byelection and was reelected in the 2020 provincial election. He has served on the Public Accounts Committee, as the secretary for francophone affairs, secretary for parks, culture and sports, provincial secretary, legislative secretary to the premier, legislative secretary to the minister of education and as a member of the provincial Treasury Board.

Before entering politics, Goudy served as the pastor at Melfort’s Baptist Church. He was also a trustee on the North East School Division, served as a chaplain for the RCMP, and worked as part of the Health Advocacy Committee that was responsible for bringing the new Wellness Centre to Melfort.

Goudy and his wife Tannis live in Melfort and have six children.
