CARROT RIVER — A preliminary hearing for a Calgary man charged with killing a Saskatchewan man didn’t proceed in Calgary Provincial Court on Nov. 10 as scheduled.

HUMBOLDT — While the election is over and the winners have been called, questions have arisen during this past municipal campaign regarding candidate signage.

HUMBOLDT — A new fire truck has been put into service by the Humboldt Fire Department, replacing one that has been utilized for the last 20 years.

EAST CENTRAL — With new councils gathering for their first meetings since the Nov. 9 election, Saskatchewan residents are left looking once again at low voter turnout rates.

MELFORT — It was an exciting night in Melfort with the new council and mayor being sworn in at City Hall for the 2020-24 term of city council. New mayor Glenn George and six councillors were sworn in during the Nov.

TISDALE — The new Tisdale council has been sworn in followed by business as usual with a couple of items discussed around the new table. Mayor Al Jellicoe returned to council after being acclaimed mayor on Oct. 8.

HUMBOLDT — Another classroom at Humboldt's St. Augustine School will switch to online learning after Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools learned another individual was diagnosed with COVID-19.

A missing 22-year-old man from Swift Current has been found deceased. Dreyden Wilda-Libke was last seen on Nov. 7, at a residence on a farm in the RM of Wreford, near Venne, Sask. On Nov.

EAST CENTRAL — Extracurricular school sports in the Horizon School Division have been paused until at least the beginning of January. The pause began Nov. 16. More information and updates will be shared following the Christmas break.

CARROT RIVER — Carrot River residents are being warned by the town about a danger to letting their pets outdoors, after a lynx was spotted in the area.
