The Catholic Woman's League of St. Joseph Calasanctios Parish marked their 50th Anniversary with a mass celebrated by Bishop Albert Thevenot, with Father Val Besas, Father Gerard Legaspi and Father Phinh Do as concelebrants.

During Mass, a beautiful stained glass window, created by Linda Lawson, featuring Our Lady of Good Counsel was blessed and presented to the parish.

Two members of the council, Yvonne Arsenault and Leona Halter, received 50-year pins.

Mass was followed by supper, fellowship and entertainment. A history of the council was available along with a display of archives.

For entertainment, various members donated their wedding dresses and these where modeled by girls from John Paul 11 Collegiate. The challenge for those present was to guess the owner of each dress. The activity generated much fun and conversation and the exercise came to an end with each model being matched with the original owner of the dress.

A wonderful evening was concluded with coffee, anniversary cake and distribution of door prizes.
