Fun for all at BUHF Festival of Trees

Battlefords Union Hospital (BUH) Foundation's Festival of Trees is approaching incredibly fast with events from Thursday, Nov. 25, to Saturday, Nov. 27.

A Carnival and Bazaar is being hosted Saturday at the Gold Ridge Centre, North Battleford from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. An enjoyable day of activities for the whole family is planned.

There are a variety of children's activities including, face painting, horse drawn wagon rides, clog dancing, pictures with Santa and an opportunity to put creativity to work to make decorations for the Food Bank Tree. There is also a chance to decorate cookies or purchase cookies prepared by NBCHS Commercial Cooking Class at Santa's Cookie Walk. Lunch and snacks will be available all day at Santa's Sweet Shoppe.

This is an occasion to view and bid on various items such as the gingerbread houses, iced treasures, beautifully decorated trees, indoor and outdoor creations and tablescapes. At the North Pole, view and bid on the delightful trees decorated by students from the community. Sugar Plum Bazaar features local artistic work as well as a chance to win an item from the raffle table.

Proceeds from BUH Foundation's Festival of Trees have been allocated to purchase a fetal monitor and doppler for the BUH Women's Health and Birthing Centre. These essential pieces of equipment will ensure the health of both mother and baby during the birthing process.
