The Waseca Community Centre committee met at the community centre for their regular meeting June 6. Discussion of improvements needed at the centre took place. A new refrigerator has been installed recently.
Regular mowing, planting of shrubs and trees and other spring activities are taking place in the village. Communities in Bloom and the village council are working hard to improve the beauty of the village. Work at the Waseca Heritage Church has been completed by volunteers and the church has had some visitors.
Arlee Lumbair spent the past weekend with her daughters and their families in Meadow Lake. They keep her busy while she is there. An interesting event was attending the annual Meadow Lake Rodeo where her grandson, Arlan, took part in the steer riding event. He received a buckle for his efforts.
