Improvements to patio area appreciated

Many thanks to editor Becky Doig and the staff of Battlefords Publishing for inviting us to attend a Celebrate the Harvest luncheon and tour of the New-Optimist. Some years ago I had toured this locale and always enjoy it.

A big thank you to the chuches - Third Avenue United, St. Paul's Anglican, St. Andrew's Presbyterian and St. Vital Roman Catholic - for inviting us and providing us with order forms to share in their Thanksgiving suppers. Those of us who partook of these enjoyed some delicious meals.

A superb Thanksgiving dinner was prepared and served by Second to None Oct. 6.

The lovely month of October held special days for some folks. In their honour a birthday party was held Oct. 12. Many happy returns of the day to Audrey Knight, Jonathon and Will Reinhart, Olga Gresiuk and Les McDonald.

Many thanks to those who helped in the kitchen preparing lunches, to the referees, Alice Horn, Phyllis Maloney and Ruth Hyrnewich, and to the scorekeeper Joan Bannerman.
