I would like to thank Battlefords Publishing (Becky Doig) for the lovely dinner we had Oct. 20. It was enjoyable and nice to meet fellow correspondents.
Last week I spent three days at Pipers Lake at a sewing retreat with some of the Maidstone Quilters. It was nice to meet other sewers, too. The meals were sumptuous and hospitality super good. I'd go again anyday.
Don and Bev Nicholson of St. Walburg were here on the weekend visiting with their mothers, Iris Nicholson and Tillie Linkert.
Last Thursday, Jean Stewart and I were to North Battleford to play cribbage at the seniors' centre. Although we didn't win it was an enjoyable day. We visited my sister Beth Piché before coming home.
We wish Theresa Kennedy a speedy recovery. She was hospitalized in Lloydminster last Friday. Hope you are better and will be home soon.
Eva Inkster has had the shingles, but is improving every day. Hope you are able to be out again soon, Eva.
Beth Maves and Colleen Koski were in Lloydminster to do some shopping and visit Colleen's mom, May Ford.
A number of the apartment ladies attended the last hospital auxiliary pie bingo. Dorothy Kissick was the lucky one and came home with three pies.
Halloween night we were visited by cute little goblins. They all had their bags full and were willing to share with us.
The month of October just seemed to fly by. We woke up Nov. 1 to a white world. The sun was out and it was disappearing quickly.
