NORTH BATTLEFORD - The City of North Battleford says operations staff have procured a replacement condenser for the Access Communications Centre.

According to a Nov. 16th news release, city staff were working to resolve a “potentially significant issue” with the arena’s ice condenser, and the arena was closed effective Nov. 16 for one week due to malfunction.

Thursday, the city operations staff estimate that the arena will be operational again, effective Thursday, Nov. 24.

The refrigeration contractor will be working on-site at the Access Communications Centre on Monday and Tuesday of next week to install the new equipment. At this time, motorists can expect some road closures around the arena in order to accommodate the installation.

The city thanks the user groups and patrons of the Access Communications Centre for their patience and flexibility during this service interruption.

Recreation staff will be in touch to rebook ice times as they become available.
