Active COVID-19 cases continue to climb in Humboldt area

As of Sept. 24, there are 141 active cases of COVID-19 in the subzone, the highest amount to date.

Records continue to be broken in the Central East 1 sub zone, which contains Humboldt, as the number of active cases climbs.

HUMBOLDT — Active COVID-19 cases continue to climb in Central East 1, the sub zone that contains Humboldt.

As of Sept. 24, there are 141 active cases of COVID-19 in the subzone, the highest amount to date. There were 11 new cases.

 

For the entire Central Zone zone, which also contains Yorkton and Meville, there 405 cases of the alpha variant, 131 of delta and 5 cases of gamma.

Seven cases are under inpatient care, while three are in the intensive case unit.

Province wide, there are 528 new cases Sept. 24. Of those cases, 426 are unvaccinated, 27 had one dose (or had their second less than 14 days ago), and 75 were fully vaccinated. 120 cases affected those under the age of 12.
