A bail hearing for a man facing child porn charges didn’t proceed in Estevan Provincial Court Nov. 2.
Kyle Mansil Fiddler, 30, has been in custody since his arrest by the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) on Oct. 21. ICE said they had launched an investigation in August after receiving many complaints someone was distributing child porn on social media platforms.
The police investigation identified a residence in Estevan where the alleged crimes were occurring and a search warrant was obtained. Police found child porn at the residence and seized a computer and a cell phone for further forensic analysis.
Fiddler was arrested and charged with possession of child porn, transmitting child porn, and failing to comply with an order of prohibition.
At Fiddler’s Oct. 27 appearance a judge ordered a bail verification report. His show cause hearing is now adjourned to Nov. 5 in Estevan Provincial Court.
