The impaired driving trial of Red Pheasant chief Stewart Baptiste has been moved to North Battleford.

The trial, originally scheduled for last fall but later pushed back to Aug. 7 in Biggar, has been moved up to July 12 and will take place in Courtroom No. 2 in North Battleford Provincial Court.

The reason for the latest change is due to a defence scheduling conflict.

Baptiste, who has been in and out of court on various matters over the past several months, faces two charges in this case: operating a vehicle while impaired, and failure to comply with a demand for a breath sample. The charges date back to 2010.
