A fun family day to mark Easter, Eggstravenganza, will be held at the Humboldt Uniplex on April 16 from 1 to 4 p.m.

HUMBOLDT — The City of Humboldt’s leisure services department, Ideal Treasures and Humboldt Early Years Family Resource Centre are teaming up to provide free Easter activities during the day’s afternoon to families.

Planned activities include an Easter egg hunt, Easter bunny bounce with inflatable bouncers, Easter crafts, literacy stations and activities, Easter Bingo, Easter treat bags, a jelly bean guess and more.

Andrea Tonn, Humboldt’s program co-ordinator, said the hunt will be tailored to youth from two and up, taking place at the arena area. The other activities will take place at Jubilee Hall.

“It would be a great way for people to get back out, to kind of start their normality after the tough COVID environment we lived in,” Tonn said. “It’s a fun-filled event.”

Eggstravenganza takes place at the Uniplex on April 16 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Pre-registration is welcomed, but not required, by emailing recprograms@humboldt.ca or by calling 306-682-2597 extension 204.

To ensure all age groups can compete at the egg hunt, each age group will have a unique colour. Treat bags will be given out to participants after the event.

“Hopefully all the little ones have some fun, and hopefully we’ll have an appearance from the Easter bunny – we’re working on that.”
