It was a busy Friday for emergency responders in the city.

The first call came in at 7:15 p.m. in response to a motor vehicle accident with reported injuries at 110th Street and 8th Avenue in the city.

One individual on the scene was treated and transported to BUH by WPD Ambulance. North Battleford Fire Department responded with one pumper and two firefighters. Also on the scene were RCMP.

Later that night responders were called to the scene of a dumpster fire on the 1400 block of 108th Street.

One apparatus and two personnel responded. The fire was quelled within 15 minutes.

As well, last Wednesday saw firefighters and emergency responders on the scene of what was reportedly a transformer fire south of Battleford in the afternoon.

A lot of smoke was visible in the air from south of Battleford, but the situation was brought under control within hours, and no injuries were reported.
