Creighton RCMP are seeking to locate and arrest Saam-Ackegan and ask members of the public to report all sightings and information on his whereabouts.
CREIGHTON — On Sept. 1, about midnight, RCMP received a report of disturbance at a business in Creighton.
Creighton RCMP officers responded along with local EMS to where investigation determined an adult male and a female youth had entered the business and assaulted a female youth. The female victim was taken to the hospital with injuries described as serious, but non-life threatening, in nature.
Police say a 16-year-old female was located and arrested by Creighton RCMP and charged with assault causing bodily harm and breaking and entering with intent. She is scheduled to appear in Creighton Provincial Court on Oct. 7.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of 21-year-old Preston Saam-Ackegan, who is charged with:
- one count, breaking and entering with intent;
- one count, assault with weapon;
- one count, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose;
- one count, uttering threats against a person; and
- three counts, fail to comply with probation order.
Creighton RCMP are seeking to locate and arrest Saam-Ackegan and ask members of the public to report all sightings and information on his whereabouts. He is known to travel to Flin Flon, Man.
Preston Saam-Ackegan is described as:
- Height: 5’8”
- Weight: 152 lbs
- Eye colour: brown
- Hair colour: black
