A passenger was killed when an SUV was struck at the intersection of Highway 303 and Highway 16 Friday afternoon.
The Maidstone and Lloydminster RCMP responded to a traffic collision at 12:33 p.m. Friday.
A SUV was heading eastbound on Highway 16 and attempted to make a left-hand turn across the westbound lanes of Highway 16 onto Highway 303. The SUV was struck in the side by a car heading westbound on Highway 16.
The elderly woman passenger of the SUV died at the scene.
Both male drivers have critical injuries and were airlifted to Saskatoon's Royal University hospital.
An RCMP Collision re-constructionist was on the scene. Traffic will be impeded until the investigation is complete.
At the request of the family, names are not being released at this time.
