A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle Friday night south of Leoville.
At approximately 10:21 p.m.,Spiritwood RCMP receiveda complaint of a pedestrian standing in the middle of Highway 24 south of Leoville.While members were en route, a second complaint was received about this individual.A third complaint came in a short time later advising that the pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.
A 26-year-old manwas pronounced dead at the scene.The deceased's name is not being released.
Investigation is ongoing with the assistance of an RCMP collision reconstructionist. No charges have been laid at this time.
