Calico Gymnastics Club has a new facility to call home. The local organization has moved into a section of the former Del Air building after losing their spot in the Humboldt Mall because of renovations.

"South Ridge Holdings really did us a favour by offering the location," said Jodi Smith, president of the gymnastics club. "It was a relief to find a new place. It's going to give us a good home for a good couple of years."

The organization's contract with South Ridge Holdings starts at the beginning of July.

After the gymnastics club found out they would need to find a new home, they were overwhelmed with the support they received from the community.

"The support was amazing," said Smith. "We got a lot of emails and phone calls from people looking out for us and hoping the best for us."

The Del Air building is not a permanent solution for the club, though. They want to find a new permanent facility to call their home.

"We want something that we can call home," said Smith. "We want to build our club from the bottom up with a facility that we can host events in."

The club is currently mulling over ideas on putting fundraisers together to raise money for a new facility.

"We're going through a lot of ideas right now for fundraising," said Smith. "Stay tuned for some events that will take place in the future."
