Lori Nachtegaele, recreation therapist at Battlefords District Care Centre, gives Eva Scott the first soft ice-cream cone from their new soft ice-cream machine. Eva Scott and her family recently purchased a soft ice-cream machine for the recreation department and residents at Battlefords District Care Centre. Eva’s husband Tom was a resident at the centre and, when he had passed away, the family decided this would be a wonderful way to show their gratitude for the great job the recreation staff do for the residents. The recreation staff are grateful to Eva and her family for thinking of the centre’s residents and the little things they thoroughly enjoy. Photo submitted
