Children playing with matches were responsible for a fire on the 1600 block of 106th Street, according to the North Battleford Fire Department.
Two pumpers, eight personnel and one chief officer arrived on the scene. The fire broke out Wednesday around 4:30 p.m.
According to eyewitnesses, the fire started in the garage. Both the garage and shed were fully involved on arrival of the fire department. Firefighters brought the fire under control within 10 minutes. RCMP and peace officers were also on the scene and SaskPower was on hand to deal with a downed power line.
The children quickly admitted to police they had caused the fire. Damage is estimated at between $15,000 to $20,000.
