Lloydminster man charged with murder after woman found dead, infant injured

56-year-old Brian McLeod of Lloydminster is charged with second degree murder, attempted murder, two counts, aggravated assault, and possession of property obtained by crime.

MARGO — On Dec. 24 at approximately 11:20 p.m., Wadena RCMP received a report of an assault in Margo.

Officers immediately responded and located an injured adult female and infant. The adult female was transported to hospital with injuries described as serious and the infant was transported to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

As a result of investigation, officers attended an adjacent residence and located a deceased adult female in it. She has been identified as 51-year-old Sharon Littlewolfe from Margo. Her family has been notified and victim services offered to them.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes took over the investigation, which determined an adult male had injured all three victims, then stolen a vehicle from a nearby residence. The male was known to all of the victims and investigation has determined he was in a relationship with Sharon Littlewolfe 

At approximately 1:10 a.m., Tisdale RCMP received a report of an assault at a rural residence near Tisdale. Investigation determined an adult male approached a residence requesting assistance for a stuck vehicle. The male then assaulted an adult male occupant of the residence, who was taken to hospital with injuries described as serious but non-life-threatening.

The victim was able to restrain the suspect until officers arrived and arrested him. 

As a result of continued investigation, 56-year-old Brian McLeod of Lloydminster is charged with second-degree murder, attempted murder, two counts, aggravated assault, and possession of property obtained by crime.

He will appear in Melfort Provincial Court on Dec. 27.

RCMP have corrected the date to Dec. 24 and not Dec. 22.
