Man arrested by N.B. RCMP gang unit appears in court

The RCMP gang unit and patrol officers charged Fransoo following a traffic stop Dec. 18

NORTH BATTLEFORD – A man arrested by the Battlefords RCMP Gang Task Force had his first appearance in court Monday.

The matter was adjourned and Curtis Fransoo, 38, is now scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court Feb. 28 to elect how he wants to be tried.

Fransoo is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited firearm, and possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

The RCMP gang unit and patrol officers charged Fransoo following a traffic stop on the 1400 block of 109 Street on Dec. 18.

The charges against Fransoo haven't been proven in court.
