Matters adjourned for Wilkie man facing numerous weapons charges

It was a very brief court date for the Darryll Sollosy matters in provincial court Tuesday.

NORTH BATTLEFORD - It was another brief court date for the case involving a Wilkie man facing numerous weapons-related charges.

Darryll Glenn Sollosy was not required to attend the latest appearance on Nov. 16 before Judge Michelle Baldwin in North Battleford Provincial Court. His matters have been adjourned one week, to Nov. 23 at 11 a.m. by video, once again in North Battleford. 

There have been a series of adjournments in the case over the past month and a half. Sollosy was arrested June 22 by Unity RCMP in connection to an incident in Scott on June 15, in which police responded to a call regarding a man who was assaulted with a weapon. Sollosy was charged with assault with a weapon. Police stated that at the time he was arrested, Sollosy had a loaded, sawed-off rifle.

The other charges Sollosy faces includes: careless transportation of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of a prohibited weapon without a licence, possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, possession of a prohibited firearm in a vehicle, possession of a prohibited firearm that is not registered, possession of break and enter instruments, operation of a motor vehicle while prohibited, failing to keep the peace while on a release order, possession of a firearm while prohibited by release order, possession of ammunition while prohibited by a release order and possession of alcohol while prohibited by a probation order.

All charges are yet to be proven in a court of law.
