A Meadow Lake woman facing weapons charges after the Saskatchewan Emergency Response Team (ERT) raided two homes was released on bail April 30.

Monica Bouvier, 24, was arrested April 19, along with Cassidy Dillon Regan, 29, and Cory Bouvier, 30.

The RCMP’s ERT was on their way to Meadow Lake with a search warrant for a home on the 500 block of 6 Avenue West to investigate reports of multiple threats of firearms.  But at about 11:30 p.m., before they could arrive, they received a call about an armed man at a second residence on the 200 block of 2nd Street West.

The Meadow Lake RCMP immediately went to the second residence and set up a containment to secure the residence until the ERT finished its search at the first location.  At about 4 a.m. on April 20, the ERT team finished their search of the first residence. At that home they seized a small amount of cocaine, controlled drugs and a weapon. Three adults were arrested.

About two hours later, the ERT executed a search warrant at the second residence. They found a woman in possession of a sawed-off .22 calibre rifle, a collapsible baton and several knives. They arrested three people at that home.

Regan was arrested at the first home. Cory and Monica Bouvier were arrested at the second home. The next day police stayed charges against another woman arrested.

The charges against Dillon Regan and Cory and Monica Bouvier haven’t been proven in court.

Monica Bouvier appeared in Meadow Lake Provincial Court April 23 and 30. She is scheduled to appear again on July 13 to enter a plea.

Cory Bouvier appeared in Meadow Lake Provincial Court April 23 and 30 is remanded in custody. He has a show cause hearing on May 11.
