Melfort RCMP seized crystal methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, multiple knives and cash from a traffic stop in the city.
During the stop, which took place 11 a.m. June 21, 45-year-old Robert Sauter of Melfort and 44-year-old Dione Tonia Wawryk of Prince Albert were arrested.
Sauter is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000.00, and failure to comply with bail conditions.
Wawryk is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000.00, and possession of a weapon.
The two are scheduled for their next court date in Melfort Provincial Court on June 29.
