The following release has been issued by the Saskatchewan Health Authority:

It is with deep sadness and regret that the Saskatchewan Health Authority and the Paramedic Services Chiefs of Saskatchewan confirm the death of Leigh Schroder, a Primary Care Paramedic with the Saskatchewan Health Authority EMS in Meadow Lake. Mr. Schroeder lost his life while responding to an EMS call on Saturday, October 25, 2019.

A Memorial Service will take place at Living Hope Alliance Church, 3800 Green Falls Drive, Regina, SK on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at 2 p.m.

Uniformed personnel of all services are encouraged to attend in full order dress with medals.

As the Living Hope Alliance Church may not be able to accommodate everyone who is interested and able to attend the ceremony, there is a plan to live stream the memorial service. Please follow the Regina Paramedics with Heart on Facebook or the Paramedic Services Chiefs of Saskatchewan on Twitter for details about an alternate location in Regina to join others viewing the service.

To assist our organizers to plan accordingly, we respectfully ask EMS, Police and Fire personnel and/or agencies to RSVP via email [email protected] to indicate the service you are representing and the number of personnel that are attending.

Living Hope Alliance Church will also be providing a live stream of the memorial service via their You Tube channel, the location of which will be disclosed prior to the memorial service.

The obituary for Leigh is posted on the Speers Funeral & Cremation Services website: https://speersfuneralchapel.com/

The Saskatchewan Health Authority’s EMS team is appreciative of all the kind words and support during this very difficult time.
