This is the scene from Friday afternoon at the Battlefords Ag Society grounds. It may look like Northwest Territorial Days are back, but in fact it is a scaled-down midway attraction being hosted at the Ag Society for three days from Aug. 19 to 21.
With the usual supplier West Coast Amusements not available, the rides are being provided this year by Wild Rose Shows from Alberta.
There were also plenty of games as well as the usual fair food, with the Blend and Rotary setting up food booths on site for Friday and Saturday.
It very much looked and felt like "back to normal" at the Ag Society after the fair took 2020 off due to the pandemic. The midway is free of charge to enter and ride bracelets can be purchased on site. Rides continue to 11 p.m. Friday and go from noon to midnight on Saturday.
