Minor vehicle collisions investigated

Battlefords RCMP responded to more than 30 calls for service between 6 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25.

Tuesday

• 7:58 a.m. – Two-vehicle collision reported at 100th Street and 19th Avenue. No injuries reported. The 56-year-old driver of one of the vehicles has been charged with failing to yield to oncoming traffic when turning left at an intersection. 

• 8:47 a.m. – Single-vehicle rollover off Highway 4 north. Vehicle lost control and came to rest on its roof on an ice covered slough. No injuries reported.

• 9:02 a.m. – Single-vehicle accident reported on Highway 4 south of Battleford. Icy road conditions believed to have been a factor. Driver and lone occupant of the vehicle sustained minor injuries when vehicle they were driving went out of control and came to rest in the ditch.

• 3:21 p.m. – Two-vehicle collision at intersection of 100th Street and 19th Avenue. Both vehicles were still driveable and no serious injuries reported. No charges have been pursued as of yet and matter still under investigation.

• 6:40 p.m. –  Vehicle spray painted while parked on St Laurent Drive. 

Police responded to four other minor collisions, four false 911 calls, three traffic complaints, four child welfare matters, one disturbance call, three alarms and one person was arrested for an alcohol related offence.
