Mike Nord has been appointed as general manager of the Battlefords and District Co-op, according to a press release issued July 17.
Nord began his co-operative retailing system career as a food manager one to one trainee at Kindersley Co-op in 1993 and then moved on to become the food store manager of Foam Lake Co-op. Nord completed the business administration program at SIAST in Moose Jaw in 1994.
In 1996, Nord travelled to Tokyo and worked as a training officer until 1999, when Nord returned to Saskatchewan he accepted the food manager position at Meadow Lake Co-op. Nord moved on to complete general manager one to one training in 2003 in North Battleford and Meadow Lake Co-op. After completion, Nord accepted the position of general manager of Wynyard Co-op. In 2006, Nord then assumed responsibility as general manager of Parkway Consumers Co-op in Roblin, Man. until his most recent position of retail advisor in the Saskatoon region in 2012.
Nord, his wife Glenna and their son Brendon are now living in the Battlefords.
