Janice Baillargeon has been elected to the Northwest School Division Board of Education.
Baillargeon, elected by acclamation in an April 18 byelection, will represent Subdivision No. 5, which includes Glaslyn, Edam and Vawn.
Baillaregon has a long history of involvement in education, according to a NWSD press release. She taught in the Regina Catholic School Division for many years and then moved on to work in counseling services at the University of Regina before retirement.
