While recruitment of a full time physician for the Cut Knife Medical Clinic continues, physician coverage of the clinic will resume May 1, according to Prairie North Health Region.

A PNHR press release states coverage will be provided by physician locums and nurse practitioners.

Though the clinic will remain open, practitioner coverage might not be available every day, states the release.

Medical clinic hours are expected to remain the same: Monday, Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to noon, and Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 2 to 4 p.m.

PNHR offers options other than a clinic visit to address health care needs:

If you require a prescription renewal, contact your pharmacist. She or he may be able to extend your prescription by a month until you are able to see a physician or nurse practitioner at the clinic.

Call HealthLine to access health information and advice from a registered nurse 24 hours a day, seven days a week - dial 811 in Saskatchewan. You can also visit HealthLine Online at www.health.gov.sk.ca/healthline-online.
