NORTHEAST — The operators for the Tisdale, Melfort and Nipawin cannabis retail stores have been selected.
Tisdale’s store will be operated by Rod C. Malberg, a Nipawin-area businessman.
Melfort’s will be run by 1159711 B.C. Ltd., a numbered company from British Columbia.
Nipawin’s will be run by the Battlefords Agency Tribal Chiefs Investments LP and GreenTec Holdings.
The operators were selected at random after passing the provincial government’s requirements. They have 45 days to begin the permitting process. As a condition of their permit, retail cannabis permittees must be operating within 12 months of legalization. Permits will not take effect until legalization occurs.
