Battlefords RCMP responded to over 60 calls for service between Friday, Oct. 23 and Saturday, Oct. 24.

Friday

• 8:12 a.m. — Vehicle parked on the 1800 block of 98th Street broken into overnight.

• 8:48 a.m. — Vehicle parked on the 1800 block of 106th Street had windows damaged.

• 9:23 a.m. — Wallet stolen from a vehicle while parked on Gardiner Drive overnight.

• 3:40 p.m. — Vehicle parked on the 1900 block of St. Laurent Drive gone through during previous night.

• 4:30 p.m. — Break and enter to a residence on the Saultleaux First Nation believed to have occurred sometime between  Oct. 19 and 23. Items reported stolen included a TV.

• 4:35 p.m. — Man reporting he was assaulted by an unknown female at a residence on the 800 block of 108th Street. A suspect was later identified. The victim was not injured and the investigation is ongoing.

• 9:35 p.m. — Break and enter to a residence on the 1200 block of 110th Street. Two suspects identified who are known to the residents. Charges are currently pending against two youths.

• 10:02 p.m. — Report of an intoxicated man causing a disturbance at a residence on the 1200 block of 111th Street and violating several conditions of his probation order. Subject was gone from scene upon arrival of police. A warrant for the arrest of a 20-year-old suspect has been attained for five counts of failing to comply with a probation order. 

• 11:48 p.m. — 44 year old man arrested and charged with impaired driving and driving while over .08 after a vehicle check on the 300 block of 114th Street.

Saturday

• 12:16 a.m. — Report of five youth offenders escaping custody from a youth facility. Accused are currently wanted on charges of escaping lawful custody and range in age from 14 to 17 year of age. 

• 12:20 a.m. — Report made of two persons assaulted by a man with bear mace. Both victims were treated in hospital and later released. A suspect has been identified and charges are currently pending for assault with a weapon.

• 2:28 a.m. — 32 year old man arrested and charged for failing to comply with probation, found intoxicated on 12th Avenue. Held in custody for court and made his first appearance on Monday, Oct. 26

Police arrested seven people for alcohol related offences, responded to two false 911 calls, four child welfare complaints, seven disturbances, three minor collisions, four alarms, two fraud complaints, three traffic complaints, one bylaw matter and two missing persons, who were subsequently located.
